Duel Review : Dusk Maiden of Amnesia X Sankarea

Both of them have unique and refreshing story. The Theme itself is not new, Zombie in Sakarea and Ghost in Dusk Maiden of Amnesia. Both have beautiful main character, Yes Sankarea and Yuuko equally beautiful. I gave 8.5 for both and expect better development. If you ask me which is better I cant decide at this time. The differences only about story telling, Sankarea Moving Forward and Dusk Maiden of Amnesia Back To The Past.
Story:

Zombie is Sankarea main theme, well we already have lots zombiefied anime. Zombie theme keep evolving from scary walking dead to something new and unexpected "zombie". We have typical zombie in Highschool of the dead and "new zombie" in Korewa Zombie Desuka and Sankarea. This new generation Zombie have normal appearance with zombie traits. Well Sankarea become zombie on her own will. The story is good about boy who have zombie fetish and want zombie girlfriend meets the school idol who have hard life and want become zombie to get rid her problem. Not something that we get everyday.

Dusk Maiden of Amnesia talk about ghost at school, once again not something new. we have large selection of this theme one of my favorite is Gakko no Kaidan aka Ghost Story aka Ghost at School. The new refreshing aspect of this is the ghost she act like nornal playful and has amnesia. Revealing mystery about amnesiac ghost really funny an unexpected. the story telling back to past in first 3 episodes. Telling about Paranormal Investigations Club lead by amnesiac ghost.

Animation:

Sankarea use Morning theme with lots hydrangea and Dusk maiden of amnesia use Dusk theme with lots falling leaves. Those are dominate theme of the. scene.Both have sleek looks and good character style. Animation is good with moderate effect. Im in bit favor for sankarea in this aspect because its have more vivid color than dusk maiden.

Sound:  

Well played voice and theme song, BGM also great  more notable in Dusk Maiden of Amnesia. Beautiful OP and ED. I like sankarea Opening its so funny with sankarea pulling back curtain and bite hydrangea leaves and fell to the grave at the end lol. Dusk maiden of amnesia have elegant opening with all leaves falling in rooftop with beautiful song. The ending of dusk maiden also so beautiful remind me of  song from Chaos;Head Vn. Im like Dusk maiden of amnesia better in this aspect.

Character:

Hahaha finally character lets start with male protagonist. Teiichi Niiya from dusk maiden of amnesia don't have special feature on his looks he have good will and positive way of thinking easy to tease. Chihiro Furuya from Sankarea more notable with his "nekomimi" hair, his fetish of zombie is other unique aspect. 

Sankarea truly beautiful and she is bit pervert in my opinion. she is innocent about boy girls relationship and harboring great burden because of her father. Yuuko more playful and mature compared to Sankarea. As ghost with amnesia she quite carefree and almost doesn't care about her past. 

Overall:

Every season usually have new refreshing anime, this season this taken by Sankarea and Dusk Maiden of amnesia. Both Candidate equally strong in first 3 episodes. Unique and refreshing story and character, good romance and bit comedy. Beautiful heroine and nice Opening and Ending. Highly recommended
